All About Chrysocolla

We continue to search the Internet long and far for every relevant source of information and have made them available here as well as our own presentation.  Check back periodically to see what else we’ve found about this absolutely amazing mineral.

Basic Information

Chrysocolla is a naturally occurring mineral that is renowned for its unique appearance and high copper content.  It is typically so high in precious metals that mining companies will crush and process the Chrysocolla to extract the copper and gold.  This is one of the reasons that jewelry, cabochons or even specimen’s are rare.  At Chrysocolla Mining we’ve made the decision to set-aside beautiful specimens so that artists, crafters and jewelry makers have an opportunity to work with uniquely breath-taking material and be able to buy it in bulk at the cheapest price possible.

Metaphysical Information

Cleopatra's stone of choice was none-other-than Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is the healing, balance and calming “stone”.  It is said that the possessor of this material will benefit from it’s amazing ability to calm the soul and provide clarity of thoughts.  As mentioned elsewhere, the power of this material is so great that Cleopatra credited it in-part for her success in working out trade agreements and peace among nations as the last pharaoh of ancient Egypt.  Did she choose Turquoise? Piedmontite? Agate? Eudialyte? No.  She chose Chrysocolla.
